We are a new quality checker team based in Plymouth involving people with learning disabilities LD as quality checkers.

We are part of Cornwall People First.

In the team we have –

Quality checkers
Project workers
Project Co-ordinator

We are here to make sure that people with learning disabilities are –

Treated as equals
Given power to exercise
Treated like all other people
In control of their lives

We go out and check the service that people with learning disabilities receive and find out what is good and what could be better.

We look at the 6 keys to citizenship:

Person centred planning
