CPF Breast Cancer Easy Read

Breast Cancer Easy Read project logo funded by Pink Ribbon FoundationThanks to a generous grant from Pink Ribbon Foundation, Cornwall People First are running a new project making breast cancer Easy Read information for people with learning disabilities. The project is called Breast Cancer – Your Journey After Diagnosis’.

Cornwall People First is very excited about this important and valuable project!

We will design and produce a set of five breast cancer Easy Read booklets to help people understand about breast cancer, what happens next, and what care and treatment a person can get.

Checking Easy Read information for people with learning disabiltiies

We will be working with people with learning disabilities and Screening and Breast Care Nurses to make sure that the information is right and easy for people to understand.

To do this, we will run two workshops, one in East Cornwall and one in West Cornwall. In these workshops we will talk about breast cancer and the information that needs to be in the Easy Read booklets.

The work done on this project will help people all over the country who have been told they have breast cancer and people who are affected by breast cancer such as family and friends.

We are looking for women and men with learning disabilities to take part in the workshops.

If you would like take part, please call Henry on: 01736 334857
